How to Use This Tool
- Upload your photo from your phone or computer.
- Click Start Crop and drag over the part you want to keep, then press Apply Crop.
- Type your Name and pick the Date of Photo, then press Add / Update Text.

Why do exam forms ask for a name and date on the photo?
Several recruitment boards ask candidates to write their name and the date the photograph was taken at the bottom of the photo, so that they can confirm the picture is recent and belongs to the candidate. Always follow the exact wording in your own official notification.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. The cropping and text are applied inside your browser using the Canvas API. Your photo never leaves your device.
Can I move the name and date anywhere on the photo?
Yes. After you press Add / Update Text, simply drag the name or the date with your mouse or finger and drop it wherever you need it.
How do I keep the file under 20KB or 50KB?
Choose JPG, enter your limit in the “Target size in KB” box and download. If the photo is still very large in pixels, crop it smaller first so the quality stays sharp.
